- Responsible for providing an exceptional Banquet experience from start to finish
- Follows the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel Food and Beverage Banquet Standard of Service
- Attention to detail from set up, event execution to tear down
- Assist with food and table prep before the event begins
- Set up buffet with food presentation standards and practices while ensuring food safe handling is in order
- Food, wine and beverage knowledge
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, open wine and take drink orders from Guests
- Shows a passion for hospitality, service and food
- Health & Safety Regulations are adhered to at all times
- Assists in any F&B Department Outlet as business volumes dictate
- Deliver an elevated experience for our guests within our Food and Beverage Outlets
- Determine & ensure exceptional service delivery while maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Accommodates all guests and is responsible for replenishing buffet food, refilling beverages, and removing dirty dishes from the tables
- Brings any guest concerns to the Banquet Leadership team and or event organizers
- Act as an ambassador of the Hotel & Sun Peaks with the ability to promote internal and external events
- Dedicated to working within a dynamic team that focuses on collaboration
- Desire to be part of a team and contribute as such
- Excellent communication skills
- Complete all tasks to help facilitate a smooth and efficient event from start to finish
- Clean up banquet room after the event ends and assist with inventory, food storage, and closing duty task as assigned
- Capable of assisting in emergency situations making prompt decisions in the best interest of the guest and the Hotel
- Previous Banquet Serving or Bartending experience preferred
- Serving it Right Certification
- Excellent food and wine knowledge
- Ability to work quickly and as a team in a fast-past environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift, carry, or push up to 50lbs
- Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
