We value people and teamwork, and we seek and develop the very best talent to ensure that WE DELIVER!Our division is currently seeking a Safety Coordinator located in our Saint John, N.B head office.The successful candidate is an enthusiastic communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You will work with key stakeholders in our businesses to support the implementation and management of safety programs.Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, review, and improve policies, processes, and procedures related to Health and Safety
  • Ensure compliance with the NB Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations along with JDI Safety standards
  • Manage and maintain any Health and Safety programs that are standard across the division
  • Analyze hazard assessments, incident reports and inspection reports for recurring trends and report findings to leadership
  • Assist in coordinating safety training and maintaining training records up to date
  • Track and report on compliance of key elements of the safety management system, such as monthly JOHS meetings, safety inspections, and the completion of corrective actions
  • Coordinate with supervisors to ensure incident and accident reports are submitted
  • Provide ongoing recommendations for continuous improvement
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary degree in Safety or related discipline would be an asset
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the NB Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations would be an asset
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Experience leading change in an organization
