- Develop, implement, review, and improve policies, processes, and procedures related to Health and Safety
- Ensure compliance with the NB Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations along with JDI Safety standards
- Manage and maintain any Health and Safety programs that are standard across the division
- Analyze hazard assessments, incident reports and inspection reports for recurring trends and report findings to leadership
- Assist in coordinating safety training and maintaining training records up to date
- Track and report on compliance of key elements of the safety management system, such as monthly JOHS meetings, safety inspections, and the completion of corrective actions
- Coordinate with supervisors to ensure incident and accident reports are submitted
- Provide ongoing recommendations for continuous improvement
- Post-secondary degree in Safety or related discipline would be an asset
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of the NB Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations would be an asset
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Experience leading change in an organization
