SummaryAs Senior Manager, Content and Channels, you will work with the AstraZeneca Corporate Communications team and Global Corporate Affairs (GCA) network in the delivery of high-quality digital communications to build reputation, earn trust and drive impact.You will work independently and under direction to provide expert strategic counsel to colleagues and stakeholders in the effective execution of their campaigns and communications activity. Alongside, you will play your part in ensuring our global digital channels excel at telling the compelling story of our company.You will drive the use of effective tactics based on clear objectives, audience targeting and key performance indicators. You will ensure proposed content meets quality, brand and accessibility standards and that planning and approval processes are followed to maximise resource efficiency and minimise compliance risk.The types of projects you will be support may range from major long term global campaigns through therapy and business area projects, initiatives spanning any of our regions or markets, and one-off tactical or crisis management activations.You will influence stakeholders responsible for their own projects but also directly lead on campaigns and activity deployed across web, paid and organic social media and other channels including employee advocacy and email.Data is critical to the Centre of Digital Excellence strategy and you will work independently and with the support of the Senior Manager, Digital Insights, to source, process and analyse a wide range of metrics from publishing platforms, tools and published sources.You will be a key member of the Centre of Digital Excellence, helping to shape our strategy, innovating and deploying new approaches to ensure we remain at the forefront of digital within and beyond the industry. Cultural awareness and the ability to work with teams across corporate communications, including Brand and Reputation, Global Media Relations, Internal Communications and Strategy and Operations will be key.You must be proactive and innovative. Alongside digital communications strategy, experience in managing multiple projects, disciplined planning and multi-channel communications experience is essential. You will be expected to play an important role in fostering a positive culture as part of the broader Global Corporate Affairs team. Occasional working out of normal office hours may be required.Key responsibilitiesProvide high quality advice and counsel in support of digital strategy, tactics and execution to stakeholders across GCA therapy areas, regions, markets and other business areas.Manage, review and publish digital content across our global channels, ensuring adherence to corporate digital strategy and compliance, branding and accessibility standards.Work independently and with the measurement lead to identify, track and share key performance indicators and actionable insights to inform campaign design, in-flight adjustment and post-campaign learnings.Ensure a high standard of community management on our global digital channels, working in close partnership with internal stakeholders, agencies and vendors.Provide support as required across all areas of the CoDE’s operations, depending on demand.Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.Knowledge and experienceExcellent standard of written and spoken EnglishMinimum 5 years digital communications experience working in a fast-paced global in-house or agency communications team is essentialExperienced digital strategist with demonstrable understanding of and experience deploying data-driven campaigns across paid, owned and earned channelsHighly skilled at devising and creating innovative and impactful content for multiple digital channels including web, social media and email and of leveraging enabling technologies and platformsExperience in using data and research and developing insights to inform campaign planning and influence stakeholdersExperience in working with international teams or on projects with international dimensions, contributing to and prioritising multiple high-level projects across cultures and time zonesSignificant experience of managing different stakeholder relationships, confident at managing upAppreciation of the role of Artificial Intelligence in improving performance and efficiencies in digital communicationsExperience working in the pharmaceutical industry or other highly regulated sector is desirable.Capabilities and behavioursHigh level of technological competence and skills, able to use a wide range of enabling platformsExceptional project management skills and good interpersonal skills with ability to manage external resources/agency partnersStrong knowledge of digital communications with strong visual judgment and copy-writing skillsResilience under pressureConfidence around leaders and global colleagues.
