- Provide strategic leadership for new builds, renovations, and upgrade projects, ensuring fiscal responsibility and upholding brand integrity.
- Oversee all aspects of project management including budget feasibility, schedule adherence, design coordination, contract negotiations, procurement, risk assessment, and value engineering.
- Ensure timely project completion within budget constraints, managing capital budgets and fostering interdepartmental communication.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among team members.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business units to achieve project objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team, overseeing recruitment, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Interface with Executive Management and Legal Counsel as necessary, overseeing contract negotiations and enforcing milestone dates and obligations.
- Manage negotiations with municipalities and relevant authorities, coordinating permit applications.
- Cultivate relationships with development partners.
- Develop overall development budgets in collaboration with the Executive team, presenting for approval by senior leadership.
- Assist in the development of design programs for new developments in alignment with organizational goals.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in commercial construction leadership roles.
- Proficiency in construction and business software.
- Strong analytical, planning, and project management skills.
- Experience in contract negotiation and administration.
- Ability to exert personal leadership through influence.
- Proven track record in building successful partnerships and engaging diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of investment and finance principles.
- Demonstrated sense of urgency and team collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel across Canada.
- Self-motivated with experience managing complex projects autonomously.
- Extensive knowledge of construction, both in renovations and new builds.
- Previous site management experience.
