You will be instrumental in the development of our business in BC and will ultimately be responsible for performance, growth, and profitability of the group. You will implement new strategic initiatives into the Metro Vancouver market working collaboratively with other CIMA+ sectors and bring deep market knowledge with a focus on urban transportation, active modes, transit, and similar markets. This role can be based in Vancouver or its surrounding areas.Primary Responsibilities
  • Identify, contribute to and lead business and strategic development initiatives for regional objectives and target client programming
  • Work collaboratively with other CIMA business lines to identify and pursue opportunities with BC municipalities and clients
  • Develop a growth strategy and implement it with the addition of Transportation staff to CIMA+
  • Provide thought leadership, regulatory oversight and mentorship to the developing and growing team and your clients, both internal and external
  • Engage in cross sector development initiatives such as green transition, EV, transit, building, land development and other disciplines
  • Championing safety and quality and ESG initiatives
  • Define, implement, and maintain appropriate operating standards and processes
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred; business or other related degrees with relevant experience would be considered
  • At least 10 years of experience working in the transportation market in BC, with a preferred focus on urban clients and projects
  • Professional Engineer, or other professional designation, registered or eligible to be registered in British Columbia
  • Experience with corporate strategic planning initiatives and a demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful strategies
  • Demonstrated considerable understanding of the overall market including future influences and trends, with a focus on urban municipalities
  • Excellent interpersonal communication (both oral and written in English), client engagement and ability to interact effectively within all levels of the organization in collaboration
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in personnel and performance management, decision making, change management, employee development, and team building
  • Excellent customer service acumen to support challenging situations along with sound commercial judgement and management skills as well as entrepreneurial ability
The expected salary for this position is from $149,000 to $196,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity.
