The Finance and Business Services team, or FaBS as we like to call them, is the engine room of the REA Group. The team is comprised of Finance, Risk, Procurement, Pricing, Customer Collections, Payments, Corporate Affairs, Corporate Development and Facilities Management.This role is responsible for supporting the Finance Services business and is a member of the Financial Services Leadership Team. The Financial Services purpose is to offer home finance and other financial services to those using realestate.com.au for their property search. The financial services team is accountable for strategy development and execution, working with our banking and mortgage broker partners to build our capability and product offerings, leading sales management and engaging across the other lines of business in REA. We currently run a full-service mortgage broking business in Mortgage Choice and our vision is to provide the highest quality brokerage business that is professional, values driven and leverages REA’s unique property advantage to provide quality advice to consumers.What the role is all aboutLead two key functions supporting and growing the Financial Services (FS) business:Commercial finance, and,Data & Performance insightsOwn the full P&L, capax & key metrics for financial servicesManage finance month-end, forecast & budget processesLead the team to help drive the financial performance through ad hoc financial analysisDrive enriched and improved data/KPI reporting, analytics & insightsReview, validate & provide commercial guidance on business cases for new products and initiativesSupport the Corporate Development team on potential FS opportunitiesProvide ad hoc financial analysis, insights and scenarios on key financial drivers and market/customer movementsHighlight key financial risks within the business and ensure mitigation plans are in placeWho we’re looking forExtensive runs on the board - relevant industry experienceFirst class communication – written, verbal and presenting skillsConfident in both formal and informal settings with the ability to relate to individuals across all levelsStrong influencing skills and ability to drive commercial outcomesShare experience and knowledge with colleagues, enabling others to learn and growAbility to forge trusted business relationships with stakeholdersEmbrace change, and responsibilityExperience in a financial services business highly regardedCross functional understanding and ability to collaborate in a complex, fast paced businessThe REA experienceThe physical, mental, emotional and financial health of our people is something we’ll never stop caring about.
