- Asian cuisine serving noodles, rice and spring rolls
- Sushi counter where you will find fresh sushi, rice paper rolls and cold bowls
- Rostering and team management
- Preparation and delivery of menu items
- Ordering and managing stock/waste management
- Implementing a production schedule
- Menu development and preparation
- Ensure positive and professional communication between FOH and BOH teams
- Train staff and develop staff in your work area and monitor their performance
- Ensure that all products are of a consistent quality and excellent standard and that this is maintained at all times
- Ensure the facility is maintained and presented in a safe, clean, hygienic and professional manner
- Adhere all safety and security standards of the company and the airport
- To deliver job training and coaching for all employees according to the vision/values (induction) training and the Be My GUEST training
- To make use of the 5 minute briefings every shift to make sure the company culture is understood perfectly by all associates. To motivate Team Leaders to do 5 minute briefings during every shift and see the benefits of those briefings.
- To manage the store on a daily basis and delegate tasks to do this in the most efficient way
- To coordinate and oversee monthly stock take for both Kitchen facilities
- To record wastage at all times
- To closely monitor PAR levels and stock levels
- To assist in overseeing food costings to control the cost of goods to budgeted levels or lower
- Excellent knowledge and working history in the hospitality industry
- Hands-on and flexible to ensure operational needs are met in an unpredictable working environment
- Excellent people skills
- Demonstrates team management, delegation, issue resolution, coaching skills and ability to motivate others
- Ambitious, energetic, positive and takes on challenges
- Takes initiative and is result-oriented
- Holds a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
