We've been in Australia for the last 60 years!About the RoleWe are seeking a full time Stores Technician to join the team at our North Shore operations located on the Bunbury Port. This is a permanent, full-time role, with a 9-day fortnight lifestyle roster. Picture yourself with every 2nd Friday off!North Shore serves as our Mineral Separation plant, playing a crucial role in receiving and processing Mineral Ore from sites in Western Australia and New South Wales.As the Stores Technician, you'll play a vital role in supporting daily operational activities of the Stores, meeting business objectives, and delivering exceptional customer service to operational functions.Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Ensure the Warehousing function is a safe, well-coordinated and optimal working environment.
  • Responsible for achieving MRO inventory targets, availability of critical items and meeting KPI's.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities through optimising working capital and improving both work procedures and systems.
  • Monitor and investigate inventory deficiencies through root causes investigations, recommend appropriate corrective actions and implement changes as agreed with end users.
  • Carry out spot and cyclic stock takes in accordance with procedures;
  • Ensure inventory procedures and practices are followed;
  • Off load weekly freight truck and pack away items;
  • Loading and dispatch of goods, including samples:
  • Follow up with end users to collect items from the Stores;
  • Maintain relevant transactional activities and reports using SAP;
To be successful in your application, you will ideally possess:
  • 2-5 years previous warehouse experience (desired, but not essential);
  • Current C Class Drivers' Licence unrestricted (essential);
  • High Risk Licence for forklift operation (essential);
  • Provides high level of customer service;
  • Highly motivated and promotes a safe and inclusive work environment;
  • SAP S4 HANA - IM warehousing module experience (desired);
  • Ability to work rapidly and autonomously in an changing environment;
  • Inventory control will be highly regarded;
  • Previous purchasing experience highly regarded; and
  • Experience in MRO MRP ordering requirements will be highly regarded.
