- Develop polygenic scores and integrate them with other omics and clinical datasets to predict treatment outcomes in patients with psychiatric disorders.
- Apply statistical models, e.g. using machine learning techniques, to improve the accuracy of predictions for polygenic risk scores in psychiatric patients.
- Conducting quantitative genomic analyses of complex traits using various genomics and omics data sources such as the UK Biobank and the US All of Us Program.
- Conducting genome-wide association studies (GWAS), transcriptome-wide association studies (TWAS), proteomics analyses, follow-up analysis, and interpreting research findings while preparing manuscripts for publication in scientific journals.
- A PhD (or near completion of PhD) in genetic epidemiology/epidemiology, statistics/biostatistics, computer science, computational biology, Quantitative Genetics, bioinformatics, or a closely related quantitative data-intensive field.
- Demonstrated computational skills and experience in R, Python, Jupyter, Notebook, and genetic/genomic tools (e.g., PLINK2, GCTA, MR, FUMA).
- Experience with big data analytics within Linux and cloud computing environments, and with data integration across multi-omics data.
- Preference will be given to applicants with a publication track record relative to the opportunity.
- Strong communication & writing skills.
