Dedicated to delivering economically viable, environmentally sustainable, and socially responsible outcomes, the overarching vision is to enhance the quality of life across NSW in terms of living, working, and recreation.About the RoleThe Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Manager is accountable for implementing various internal to government and external strategic communication and stakeholder engagement services that support the successful delivery of property projects.
The role will support the Commercial and Property team by providing specialist advice and services in community and stakeholder consultation, internal communication, and issues management.Key accountabilities include:
  • Lead, develop and manage stakeholder engagement and communication strategies for property projects. External stakeholders will include local councils, local communities and media.
  • Work closely with the Commercial and Property project teams and advisors to develop and implement stakeholder strategies, communications and plans.
  • Build and maintain collaborative and consultative working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including community groups, and facilitate delivery of best practice communication, community engagement and consultation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the People and Culture team to develop website, social media and internal communications plans and provide content for website, social media and internal communications channels.
  • Identify emerging issues and contentious matters and provide advice on their proactive management to ensure effective resolution.
  • Implements actions in communication plans for high-profile, complex, contentious, or publicly sensitive projects.
  • Support the Policy and Corporate Affairs team by aligning your tasks, objectives, approach, and strategies with the team's vision and strategy
About You
  • Demonstrated ability to devise and implement communications and stakeholder engagement strategies and plans on property development projects.
  • Demonstrated experience writing for different audiences and translating complex and technical. information into accessible information.
  • Demonstrated issue management skills with the capacity to manage complex and sensitive issues.
  • Experience developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience working in government is preferable but not essential.
Essential requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in communications and stakeholder engagement on large scale property development projects.
