Job Description Data Platform Owner - Sydney - PermanentSirius Technology is partnering with a leading financial services organisation in Sydney as they look to enhance their Data Engineering capabilites. Due to a restructure in their organisation, they are transitioning from on-prem to cloud and need someone to be responsible for driving the strategic direction and operation of their Azure Data Platforms and related services.Responsibilites:
  • Accountable for the end-to-end development and evolution of the Azure Data Platform .
  • Responsible for the support needed to develop the Data Platform such as Infrastructure, Architecture and Data Modelling.
  • Communicate and define the technical strategy in line with the Data strategy.
  • Work along side the Data Engineering processes and policies
  • Engage with stakeholders for feedback and to own the process
Skills and experinece requried for this role:
  • 10 + years experience in designing, building and maintaining Data Engineering pipelines.
  • Experience in implementing lake house architecture.
  • Extensive experience within Azure analytics tools such as Data Factory, Synapse and SQL.
  • Data Modelling knowledge and physical implementation experience.
  • Previous experience of managing and leading a team of Data Engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills from peer to peer and stakeholder management.
