Additional information:
  • This role is Permanent Full-time 76 hrs/fortnight.
  • The internal job title for this role is IKEA Food Team Leader
  • This position is based in IKEA Logan, Slacks Creek QLD.
  • As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts (ranging from 7:30am up to 9:30pm). You also have the availability to work alternating weekend shifts (both Saturday and Sunday).
Team vision ( title) About this work areaTeam vision (text) As an IKEA Food Team Leader, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead, develop and coach your team of co-workers (up to 10 direct reports) to ensure they are given the necessary support, training and mentoring so they can provide an exceptional customer experience.
  • Maintaining IKEA Quality and Food Safety Standards, producing and dating food according to specifications complying with HACCP standards and ensuring compliance training is kept up to date throughout the team as well as ensuring daily operational routines and actions are implemented.
  • Ensure that both the Commercial and Operational areas of the Food department is efficiently maintained as well as clean, organised, attractive and inviting to provide a positive customer experience.
  • Contributing to and supporting the IKEA Food business plan, ensuring that food is connected to the store commercial calendar.
  • Actively sell our IKEA Food products that customers love and find creative ways to merchandise and drive sales.
  • Strong ability to support and lead change management within the department and the wider store.

  • Experience working closely with the co-workers and championing a customer-centric approach, ensuring that customers leave satisfied.
  • An innate ability to lead by example, support and coach co-workers to develop themselves professionally and to help them meet our customers with empathy and care.
  • Able to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels to consistently deliver operational excellence.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and devices including Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Quality and Food Safety Standards is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within retail or hospitality is desirable.
