Through our Anantara, Avani, Elewana, Oaks, NH Hotels, NH Collection, nhow and TIVOLI properties, Minor Hotels operates in 50+ countries across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, Europe and South America.Minor Hotels AU & NZ is a proud leader in strata titled accommodation management with numerous Hotels, Resorts and Residential Apartment buildings throughout Australia and New Zealand.Job DescriptionDue to an internal transition, we currently have a rare and exciting opportunity for a professional and dedicated People and Culture Advisor to join our team at Minor Hotels on a full-time basis.This position will be responsible for delivering exceptional Human Resources support, comprehensive guidance, and expert counsel to our portfolio of over 60+ properties across Australia and New Zealand. Located in our Head Office in Maroochydore, this position will work closely with a team of professional, experienced, and supportive People and Culture Advisors.Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide expert and knowledgeable advice to management and employees on a wide range of HR matters, ensuring alignment with company polies and legal regulations
  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders across a diverse portfolio of 60+ properties in Australia and New Zealand, providing timely HR support and fostering a collaborative environment
  • Handle employee matters sensitively and proactively, addressing grievances, and disciplinary actions while striving to maintain a harmonies environment
  • Assist in the performance management process, ensuring development plans to enhance employee performance and professional growth
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations and industry standards, maintaining accurate records at all times
  • Ensure HR budgetary compliance within the assigned portfolio’s rostering, annual leave accrual and salaries and wages
  • Assist in preparing relevant documentation for employer nominated visa sponsorship applications
  • Work closely with a team of experienced People and Culture Advisors, sharing insights, best practices, and collectively contributing to the achievement of HR goals and objectives.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will require the following qualifications, skills and experience:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management, combined with at least 5 years relevant experience
  • High-level written and oral communication skills, and the ability to communicate and liaise effectively and sensitively at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Ability to achieve goals in the face of obstacles and cope effectively with change, setbacks and disappointments and remain calm and controlled under pressure
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective planning and organisational skills to manage, multiple tasks and ability to work with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to deal sensitively and maturely with confidential, personal information and records
  • Availability to work full time hours, Monday - Friday
