Integral marine management roleSupported by a strong marine teamAccess to a range of employee benefitsAbout the roleThe Maintenance Manager role is a key position in the SeaLink NT leadership team, responsible for maintaining the vessels and company assets to the highest standard to ensure a safe and efficient operation.The position leads, plans and prioritises to effectively:
  • Maintain vessel maintenance schedules, troubleshoot, diagnose and rectify engineering issues throughout the fleet.
  • Ensure ferries and equipment comply with all current legislation and standards
  • Manage costs in line with budget
  • Provide guidance and training to the onboard Marine Maintenance crew
A key outcome of this role is to ensure we continue to offer faultless, reliable on-time running aboard the highest quality vessels, to our customers.About YouAs this is a key leadership position, you will be self motivated and results driven, and have a high level of interpersonal skills, business sense, financial understanding, fleet maintenance experience and project management capabilities to ensure success.

These key requirements will be complimented by experience and skills in the following areas:
  • Minimum 2 years maintenance planning and budgeting experience
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with marine vessel machinery, especially marine diesel engines
  • Knowledge of CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management Systems)
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of MARPOL and NT Marine Pollution Act
  • Advanced knowledge of diesel fitting and turning
  • Sound knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and air conditioning systems
  • Marine Engineer Driver 1 or above
  • Trade Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical
  • MEX User Certificate
  • Restricted Electrical license
  • Working within confined spaces ticket
  • Forklift ticket
  • Senior First Aid/Advanced Resuscitation
  • Open Driver’s License (essential)
