In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland's Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.Job DescriptionPlanner / Scheduler - AQUILAAs the Planner / Scheduler, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring of the production and maintenance plan for approved work. This ensures that the required resources are identified prior to commencement of work to enable the right delivery of work safely and efficiently.Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage the planning set up, including job templates, and any additional input from others
  • Specify work conditions and constraints with effective control requirements, detailing conditions/constraints, hazard controls, permits, work instructions/procedures and critical controls where appropriate
  • Determine the deliverable, scope of work, material, equipment, and labour requirements for approved maintenance and production approved work
  • With an interface to the Scheduling Specialists, specify task duration, task sequence(s), and detail the earliest start and latest start dates
  • Create SAP Purchase Requisitions for part, services and goods required for completion of tasks, (in reference to contract agreements if available) to ensure prompt delivery of parts to meet our production and maintenance demands.
  • Manage master data changes to ensure fit for purpose and accurate strategies, task lists, maintenance items and plans
  • Work in partnership with the execution teams at the site.
  • Managing expectations through effective engagement with stakeholders through organised management routines.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate experience in production planning principles and maintenance strategies to ensure work packages are planned and finalised within cost and time constraints.
  • Experienced in the delivery of services and scope of works, with an emphasis on undertaking work in the safest and most efficient manner
  • Strong mechanical or electrical and technical aptitude, working in machine based operations
  • Confident and capable with understanding engineering drawings and complex data entry
  • Strong SAP EAM experience is a must, previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
  • Experience using R8/Orien is advantageous.
  • Strong safety focus with a preventative/proactive approach to planning work and the ability to manage OH&S issues to resolution
  • Ability to pick up new systems easily and drive key projects around digital process enhancements.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience in civil or coal mining, advantageous to have experience working at an underground coal mine
  • Trade or relevant Engineering qualification is desirable
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and contractor management experience.
