Mechanical Project Engineer - Shutdowns

- Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Safely identify and develop the scope of work for the major shutdowns taking place within the operational area of responsibility.
- Work with the major shutdown team and consultants to plan, engineer, design, fabricate and procure all parts and equipment required for the safe execution of the shutdown to achieve the target deliverables.
- Provide technical guidance and conduct technical inspections during the major shutdown, including developing scopes to repair/replace the equipment as required.
- Ensuring works are compliant with relevant Australian Standards, Statutory Requirements, and Site Specifications
- Develop and execute quality assurance and control requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- heavy industry experience preferably in a major maintenance shutdowns or project/construction execution environment.
- Suitable Technical Expertise and knowledge of the operations to inform on decision-making, take responsibility for planning, designing, and implementing solutions that meet the needs of projects or operational areas.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels including internal and external stakeholders, middle management level, contractors, and other specialists
- Practically orientated with good attention to detail and have strong problem-solving skills
- Generous hourly rate + superannuation
- Initial 12-month contract with significant potential to extend/convert to FTE
