This is a full-time role in external audit. The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring all work papers, letters and reports are accurate; attending to administrative matters including cost controls and budgets; applying Australian Auditing Standards to all client files and keeping up-to-date with technical updates. This role will report to a Manager.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- 2-4 yrs experience in audit in Australia in a recognised chartered accounting firm;
- Post graduate qualifications (completed or partly completed CA or CPA);
- Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills;
- Ability to deal confidently and professionally with clients and other stakeholders;
- Excellent understanding of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB's) and Australian Auditing Standards and legislation;
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment;
- Professionalism, dependability, integrity, trustworthiness and a cooperative attitude;
- Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines;
- Excellent computer skills and literacy;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel). Knowledge of CaseWare will be preferred;
- Roadworthy insured vehicle and a valid Australian Drivers' License or the ability to obtain both prior to commencement;
- Strong organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
