Follow the link to find out what its like to live, work and play in our wonderful region:About the Role:In this role, you will be joining a close-knit and social multidisciplinary team which services our health service. As part of the team, you will be responsible for providing Occupational Therapy services to in-patients across the sub-acute units, with possible opportunities to provide services to the acute units at times. You will provide specialist assessment, treatment and discharge planning to admitted patients in the Rehabilitation, Geriatric Evaluation and Management, Palliative Care and Sub-acute in the Home services.This role is open to experienced Grade 2's looking to build leadership skills and transition to a Grade 3 role within a supportive environment.This scope of this role will include aspects such as:
- Provision of person-centred, evidence-based care
- Leadership and support for the OT team
- Collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams to support achievement of patient-focused goals
- Engagement in and facilitation of a robust professional development program and supervision
- Leadership of continuous quality improvement activities
- Supervision of students and junior staff
- Relocation and interim accommodation support for successfully relocating staff as a Grade 3 Occupational Therapist
- Structured clinical supervision, Professional Development (PD) and study leave to help reach your learning and career goals
- Community Connector 1:1 relocation consultant support assisting where applicable with finding housing, childcare/education, partner employment, social groups & integration into our community
