Here, our primary goal is to ensure a safe and dignified environment for clients to receive essential mental health assessments and determine the most suitable treatments and supports. Collaborating closely with the Psychiatric Initiating Nurse (PIN) and two other mental health RNs, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining SAS as a secure space for both staff and clients.PECC, our 24/7, 6-bedded ward, is where crisis interventions take place for up to 48 hours. Consumers admitted to PECC are often in acute crisis and require a welcoming and safe space to stabilize while linking them with other essential services. Working alongside a dedicated Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), including Psychiatry consultants, registrars, clinical nurse consultants, peer support workers, social workers, Aboriginal health workers, and homeless health providers, you'll foster a collaborative and holistic approach to care.As a mental health nurse in SAS and PECC, you'll have the opportunity to apply your expertise, empathy, and judgment to provide exceptional care to vulnerable individuals during their most challenging times. Your contributions will make a lasting difference in the lives of those in need, empowering them to regain control and rebuild their mental well-being.Caritas Mental health inpatient wardAt our facility, we prioritize the highest level of patient care, creating a safe and supportive environment for individuals dealing with mental health challenges. Our inpatient ward is well-equipped with 21 acute beds and 6 high dependency beds designed to offer the utmost comfort and specialized care to our patients. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in the recovery journey of our patients. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers, to deliver personalized and holistic care plans.
