We will do this by embedding our values to lead the organisation with a focus on safer gambling and good business practices.Our properties across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sydney are world-class with many award-winning hotels, restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues.As our Due Diligence Analyst, reporting to the Due Diligence Manager, you will perform a wide range of due diligence, vetting and screening actions in support of The Star's AML/CTF Program.This is a fantastic opportunity where you will be able to make independent decisions and escalate red flags and due diligence cases or note where necessary. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the casino's reputation and financial well-being whilst meeting regulatory and governance requirements.A few of your responsibilities
  • As part of the due diligence process, effectively collate, analyse and evaluate information from a range of sources, including commercial and open source databases
  • Identify and classify potential AML/CTF related risk
  • Accurately update TrackVia and CMS, with revised risk ratings and concise summaries of due diligence findings. Compile in depth diligence reports as required
  • Remain up to date with industry best practice and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the AML/CTF legislation
  • Ensure integrity of data file uploads for AUSTRAC reporting purposes
What we are looking for
  • Experience working in a due diligence, intelligence, investigative or compliance related environment; and/or Tertiary studies in a subject which requires a high level of critical analysis and independent research is desirable, e.g. Law, Criminology, Economics, Accounting
  • High level research, analytical critical thinking skills and the proven ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant statutory compliance and reporting requirements
  • Experience working in a casino and/or gaming environment would be an advantage but not essential
About youIdeally you would come with a financial crime/due diligence background in banking, finance or large entertainment group. Your passion for investigation and doing the right thing will allow you to confidently communicate and advise across a wide stakeholder portfolio and promote openness to new information, approaches and ideas.Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of our Controls Team in navigating through remediation at The Star.
