Then read on.The opportunity:As an Internal Audit Manager, you will play a vital role in evaluating, testing, and reporting on AIA NZ’s internal control systems and compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements. You will be part of the 3rd line of defence, providing the board, senior management, and regulators with independent assessments of AIA NZ’s risk management processes, and valuable insights and recommendations to relevant business stakeholders.Join us and make a significant impact on our business while advancing your career in a dynamic and supportive environment.This is a 10-month fixed term role, covering a period of parental leave.Key responsibilities include:Identifying key risks across the business and developing strategies to manage them effectivelyAssisting in preparing the annual audit plan and schedules, ensuring effective and efficient execution of audits and reviewsProviding professional advice and insights to management to enable them to make informed decisions and strengthen risk management processesEngaging in meaningful discussions of audit results with management, and overseeing timely completion of related issues and action plansCollaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the implementation of an effective and efficient system of internal controlImproving your technical competence through mandatory trainings and other optional courses and industry seminars.Ideally, you’ll bring:6+ years' internal audit experience in the financial services sector (insurance focus preferred)Strong understanding of risk management and project management principlesGood understanding of IT principles and processes, and data governanceExperience with the use of data analytics, including audit interrogation software (e.g., ACL)Excellent written and oral communication skills, enabling effective interactions at all levelsDemonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersThe ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and deliver quality outputsStrong negotiation, influencing and critical thinking abilities, while collaborating with the business to find value-adding solutionsHigh levels of integrity and ethicsA positive, collaborative attitude with excellent team-player qualities.Please note that applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
