Centurion Transport in Townsville is currently seeking an experienced forklift operator to join our operations department as a Freight Officer. As part of our Branch Operations department, this permanent full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of our operations. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient processing of general and ugly freight, ensuring all loads are secured and restrained correctly. Tasks & Responsibilities

Operating a forklift to load and unload freight in a safe and timely manner
Processing various types of freight from beginning to end
Secure and restrain all loads in a safe manner as per the load restraint guide
Ensuring all scanning is accurate and complete for freight in the received, loaded, staged and unloaded functions
Preparation of outgoing freight ensuring that goods are secured and packed correctly for dispatch
Guaranteeing freight is loaded in time to meet scheduled vehicle departure times

Requirements of the role

Current Forklift Licence (LF)
Previous experience with general freight or warehousing
Ability to take direction from management and supervisors
Preferred scanning experience
Customer service and communication skills
Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, and RIPPA values
