- Provision of Social Work services within Broken Hill Health Service.
- Provide an evidence based therapeutic counselling service across a range of clinical areas, and client groups.
- Work in partnership with a range of community and government agencies to build capacity within the community to meet the needs of client groups.
- Provide support regarding the psycho social needs of clients, and consultancy in regard to strategic interventions with clients, to other health staff.

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible:
- Social Work Degree with eligibility of membership of AASW.
- Demonstrated advanced practice skills in the provision of a therapeutic counselling service to children, adults and families.
- Demonstrated ability to establish collaborative partnerships with external agencies and 'programmes and demonstrated ability to adhere to the defined standards of ethical and professional conduct consistent with the current NSW Health Code of Conduct and/or professional standards where applicable.
- Demonstrated ability to implement a Primary Health Care approach in response to identified issues.
- Knowledge of the complexity of socio-economic issues impacting on health outcomes in a rural community.
- Proven high level – verbal / non-verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, and provide client focused psycho social and strategic consultation to team members.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, exercising independent professional judgement with minimal supervision.
