As an industry leader and employer of choice, we're Made for More.About the roleWesTrac are seeking a Planner to join the team at Casula!Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, in this role as a Planner you will use proactive methods of data collection, analysis and tracking to schedule and plan workload in line with resources and agreed time lines.This is a critical position for maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding job requirements, parts requirements, job and technician status, and seeking feedback and providing follow-up post completion of job.You will support the Branch Manager and relevant Supervisors through scheduling and demand planning reports to ensure peaks and troughs can be managed effectively. This role will facilitate better velocity and reduced cost, while having a positive impact on customer satisfaction.RosterThis positions is a full time opportunity working Monday - Friday, 10 hour days.Key Responsibilities
  • Maximise the efficiency of the branch by scheduling all available manpower and available build bays
  • Effective Work in Progress (WIP) management through turning WIP both in parts and service
  • Customer communication and visibility to job completion through transparent scheduling
  • Ensure parts availability for planned repairs
  • Liaise with workshop supervisors on backorders for planned jobs and discuss reschedules
  • Drive continuous improvement to assist in the effective and efficient operation of the business
Skills & Experience
  • Relevant Trade qualifications in a Mechanical background with proven experience working with mobile equipment environment in a planning role
  • Demonstrate knowledge in working and understanding Equipment Maintenance and planning concepts
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal
  • Practical experience in mobile equipment maintenance planning and scheduling
  • Sound computer skills and experience using Microsoft office products
  • Proven ability to relate well and build productive working relationships with people at all levels
  • Excellent organisation, planning and time management skills
  • Demonstrate effective problem solving skills
  • Caterpillar Experience and Supervisory experience will be highly regarded
