As the Electrical Technical Advisor, you will be part of the Goldfield and Agricultural Region Operations Engineering Team. Supporting the delivery of Operations, and Maintenance services by providing reliability and engineering expertise and technical support. Based in Northam with alternative options of Merredin and Kalgoorlie.This role combines both desk work and field work, giving you the opportunity to work on small- and large-scale assets, working with the fast-paced nature of operations and the detailed planning side of capital projects. Travel across the 3 districts from Wiluna to Norseman, Corrigin to Beacon and Wubin to Beverley.This full-time permanent role will provide a specialist electrical consultancy service in the areas of operations, maintenance, and construction of electrical, HV/LV Systems, instrumentation, communications, and SCADA type of assets.What’s on offerStarting Salary $112,195 with possible progression to $123,143 + 11.5% superElectrical Licence Allowance + HV Authorised Person Allowance + Electrical Nominee AllowanceTravel Allowance + Overtime + Work VehicleAnnual leave loading of 17.5%.Option to work on a 9-day fortnight rosterAfter 3 years of continuous service, you may access your Long Service leave pro-rata.Relocation and Housing Subsidy Available dependent on locationWhat you’ll do· Join a hands on and practical team whose goal is to enhance the reliability of our physical assets.· Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, employing analytical skills to understand failures and underperformance, then devise cost-conscious solutions· Evaluate and improve our electrical and instrumentation maintenance practices to ensure they meet operational needs· Lead maintenance projects, such as battery replacements and high-voltage work, across the region· Assist with electrical project implementation, ensuring all aspects, from documentation to commissioning, adhere to specifications and contractual obligations while meeting manufacturers' specifications· Investigate and anticipate significant asset failures, applying risk assessment and root cause analysis to mitigate potential issuesWe are looking for the following skills and experience· Electrical Worker's Licence endorsed· Experience in infrastructure operations and maintenance, knowledge of water/wastewater services (desirable)· Experience with both HV and LV systems.· Expertise in electrical installation, electrical testing, and commissioning· History of using asset systems with proven data analysis skills and the ability to provide simple technical reports· Demonstrated understanding of the legislative and regulatory constraints in the electrical industry and water industry· C Drivers LicenceSound interesting?
