Reporting to the Head of External Reporting, you will join a highly engaged and established Regulatory Reporting team centralised in Sydney.Regulatory Reporting is responsible for the preparation and review of several external regulatory returns for the Rabobank entities in Australia and New Zealand – Rabobank Australia & New Zealand Group (RANZG). As Senior Accountant - Regulatory Reporting your focus will be to meet Regulatory reporting requirements for APRA and ABS.Top Role Accountabilities:
  • Assist in the completion of Capital Regulatory reporting and the annual review of the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment process
  • Production and submission of Australian regulatory returns and Pillar 3 disclosures in a timely manner
  • Producing RAG regulatory reports which are to be reviewed and signed-off in accordance with policies and procedures, including analytical reviews and commentary
  • Ensure all working files are fully supported with clear audit trails supporting each return with proper sign off by preparer and reviewer
  • Responding to queries/issues from key stakeholders (internal or external)
  • Review and maintain the appropriate documentation of various mapping tables used for reporting, and management of mapping table changes due to projects
  • Update procedures documents and manual for all regulatory reports/returns. Provide continuous review and implement improvements of procedures to enhance efficiencies for the preparation of returns
  • Data Quality - Ensure all data quality matters identified are followed up and cleared (if possible) before next month end to avoid manual adjustments. This includes the proactive assistance in developing efficient database for reporting and analysis
  • Provide back up support for Liquidity Reporting
Top Role Accountabilities:
  • Demonstrated Regulatory Reporting experience
  • Strong knowledge of Australian and New Zealand accounting standards - IFRS, and APRA guidelines and requirements
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Access, and Business Object skills
  • Experience in the preparation of Australian regulatory returns for a locally incorporated financial institution
  • Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Certified Accountant (CA) qualification
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Good interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
  • Planning skills to coordinate monthly reporting obligations and other ad-hoc commitments
