Our agile teams are empowered to innovate and deliver an excellent experience for our customers - whether they shop in-store or online.What you'll doThe Tech lead will report to the Senior Chapter Lead of Engineering in the Availability area of the Fulfilment Domain and will be responsible for leading the Engineering capabilities for the members of their squad. You will be a service leader and subject matter expert in engineering and technology and will work with the Senior Chapter Lead as well as the Capability Leads across engineering to ensure your team members are realising their potential and contributing maximum value to their squads. As a Leader-Contributor you will also play an important role working alongside your squad members to achieve the mission of their squads.You will form partnerships with Solution Architects and Technology leaders across Woolworths Group to help implement the Group eCommerce platform strategy and w​ork with the relevant Practice/Capability Leaders to identify opportunities to build and enhance capability, continuously improve tools/processes and upskill your team.What you'll bringYou will have a demonstrable record of progression throughout your career, having worked in roles of similar complexity, ideally within the retail or complex services or product sector. You will have experience working within a matrixed/Agile organisation having had success in building and fostering relationships across and down into the business and acknowledged for having built and managed strong relationships. You will have tech leadership experience, a background in engineering and strong communication skills as well as the ability to prioritize and problem solve. In addition you will have:
  • At least 2 years of engineering team leadership experience.
  • Minimum 10 or more years professional experience with .Net technologies.
  • A dedication and a keen interest in building well-architected systems that process high volumes of data and communicate via Event Driven technologies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient with cloud services in either of the major cloud providers Azure/GCP/AWS. (Azure experience is preferred)
  • Solid experience with NoSql database systems such as MongoDB.
