- Planning and conducting aviation audits and assessing operator safety for SGS Aviation clients.
- Managing aviation projects for clients.
- Providing technical and commercial aviation advice.
- Preparing written audit and project reports with recommendations for the conduct and continuous improvement of client aviation activities.
- Following-up and closing out issues raised in the course of their duties.
- Maintaining professional contact and effective working relationships with clients.
- Maintaining professional qualifications through company training and participation in SGS Aviation seminars where possible.
- Discharging the administrative duties required for the efficient conduct of their position.
- Must hold an Air Transport Pilots License or military equivalent
- Aviation advisors will ideally have 15 years' experience in the aviation industry
- Successful completion of a quality/safety (ISO approved) lead auditor course.
- Experience in auditing aircraft operators (fixed or rotary wing), and inspecting aerodromes and offshore helidecks.
- Advisors will on occasions be travelling offshore so a valid BOSIET training certificate will be required.
- Pilot licensed for at least 8 years.
- Accumulated over 2500 flight hours.
- Must have auditing experience and conducted 10 Aviation related audits within the last 4 years.
- Holding BARS auditor qualifications/accreditation will be highly regarded.
- Availability for frequent travel
- A solid understanding of CASA and ICAO regulations.
