Our team of researchers leads internationally innovative research including medication management to co-design in priority populations, as well as from patient to policy across a range of therapeutic areas.The University of Sydney has a fantastic opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team and support research aiming to educate, empower and support people with dementia and their carers to manage their medications safely.We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Research Assistant to assist with the development and implementation of co-designed medication management guidance resources for older people living in the community and during transition into aged care.Your key responsibilities will be to:assist and support the Chief Investigator, Senior Research Academics and the wider research team to deliver the research programundertake qualitative and quantitative research methods, data collection and contribute to analysis and reporting of findingscommunicate with other research partners, organisations and collaborators as they relate to the research taskattend research meetings, prepare meeting documentation and other functions as required.About youTo be successful in this role, you have:tertiary qualifications likely with Honours in appropriate discipline with relevant experience in related field or have extensive specialist experience in the field of researchexcellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with day to day operational mattersknowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative research methodsnumeracy skills together with experience in controlling income/expenditure for reconciliation/budget tracking and managing invoice payments and purchasesknowledge of the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research, Good Clinical Practice and Guidelines governing clinical researchexperience in developing and working on research projects, including expertise in using research protocols, data management, experimental design, and ethics submissionsworking understanding and current knowledge of relevant aspects of the Work Health and Safety Policy and relevant legislation.To keep our community safe, please be aware of our which form our conditions of entry for all staff, students and visitors coming to campus.Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaPlease note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
