CCA is responsible for all aspects of employee and external communications and engagement, including stakeholder engagement, government relations, media, social media, consumer awareness and education (including Moneysmart), and digital channels management.The Employee Communications team drives ASIC's employee communications and engagement strategy. The team aligns ASIC's people behind the organisation's purpose, values and strategic priorities, enhances communications to build engagement, and culture development.We partner with and advise key stakeholders from across and outside ASIC to ensure employee communications and engagement is purposeful, meaningful, clear, consistent, and contributes to creating a positive experience for our people.The roleAs an Employee Communications Adviser, you will:
  • Develop and deliver employee communications and engagement strategies, plans, activities and messages that connect ASIC's people with our values and strategic and operational priorities and objectives.
  • Support (and at times lead) development and delivery of integrated employee and external communications and engagement plans and activities.
  • Deliver high-quality content that can be used across internal and external channels (particularly across media and social).
  • Plan, create, disseminate, monitor and measure content to inform and engage ASIC's people across appropriate channels, including intranet, forums/town halls (in person, online, and hybrid), and email.
  • Plan and manage events, including determining agendas, content, and presentations.
  • Represent employee communications (and, at times, the group) in working groups and steering committees for change/transformation initiatives and activities.
  • Support leaders and project managers with communications and engagement advice, activities, messages and content.
  • Identify, advise on and manage employee communication and engagement opportunities, risks and issues.
  • Support evaluation and improvement of ASIC's employee communications and engagement function and service, including governance, processes, tools and platforms.
About you
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in communications or other relevant discipline, or substantial relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience of culture change programs and communicating with and engaging employees – from planning through to delivery, measurement and monitoring – in a corporate, government or professional services environment.
  • Enjoy working in a team and autonomously.
  • Focused on continuous improvement – identifying opportunities to shape and improve the employee experience – at an organisational and team level.
  • Professional written communication skills, with experience creating engaging content across multiple channels.
  • Strong digital skills, including employee communications and engagement tools, web and social media publishing tools, Google Analytics and Adobe.
  • Demonstrated experience in translating and tailoring complex and technical content to multiple audiences across traditional, digital, and social platforms.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, including experience influencing and advising executives and technical experts.
