Welding metal components to construct pipelines in all environments using specialised welding techniques to fabricate, assemble and repair products.Operating automatic/semi-automatic welding equipment and tools to construct pipelines and supporting structures.
Dealing independently with critical challenges associated with automated equipment gear including - wire feeding issues, torch handling and positioning, welding sequence for multiple bugs on the same band.
Ability to weld pipe and steel to the required positions for the project (2G, 5G and 6G).
Ability to address and resolve defects inherent to automated welding in narrow gap bevels.
Performing AUT (Automated Ultrasonic Testing) non-destructive inspection of automated welds.
Correlating feedback to constantly improve weld quality.

Profile

Previous experience in large-diameter onshore (or offshore) pipelines.
Must have recent project experience (in the last 1-3 years) working on SERIMAX equipment and technologies (including Satrunax 01 and Saturnax 08 technologies).
Demonstrated high proficiency in specialised grinding techniques at start/stop locations.
Manual weld repair procedures complementing the main line automated welding procedure: and
