Job DescriptionWe have an exciiting opportunity for a Training Manager to join our exciting multi-year Defence program to deliver an enterprise Health Knowledge Management System (HKMS). This capability will enable better clinical decision making for the ADF by providing market leading healthcare to ADF personnel and is a key capability and priority for the ADF.This role will act as the primary customer liaison point of contact and manage the multidisciplinary training team. They will also have accountability for deliverables and provide oversight of coordination for training planning and delivery. This role leads the Training portfolio and will liaise very closely with the OCM Manager and the Transition Lead in the planning and implementation of training to support effective introduction of the HKM System into service for the first operational release (OR1) in 2024 and subsequent releases.Responsibilities include: -
  • Primary customer liaison point of contact for training planning and implementation in collaboration with the Training Team
  • Accountable for development and delivery of the training solution for OR1 and subsequent releases
  • Provide specialist training knowledge (Defence SADL) and apply this to the training framework and deliverables (project documentation, curriculum, materials)
  • Provide oversight of the coordination of training planning, deliverables and implementation; in collaboration with the Rollout Lead and Transition Lead, develop implementation plans
  • Proactively engage and liaise closely with Defence stakeholders
  • Provide oversight of the creation and maintenance of training curriculum and materials
  • Develop the tactical evaluation approach for training programs and inputs for Defence training governance processes.
QualificationsAbout You and What You'll BringYou will have strong track record in managing training programs targeted at training for end users to support system adoption. You will have a solid training background, preferably in the Defence environment, where you have managed teams working on developing relevant coursework to support requirements for a complex program.
  • Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments and proactively managing customer expectations
  • Experience with leading training programs and teams, preferably in relation to technical solutions and rollout
  • Experience in the development and execution of training plans and training delivery
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple, concurrent activities, while understanding and managing priorities, dependencies and risk; project schedule experience
  • Ability to lead, work and liaise with the team remotely due to the organisational structure being spread nationwide
  • Desirable: experience with training programs for Defence inclusive of knowledge of the SADL framework.
