With a rich heritage spanning over several decades, the company has built a reputation for delivering high-quality products that promote health and well-being.Job DescriptionAs out Senior Automation Engineer, you will support the maintenance manager and coach our junior engineers to ensure we:
  • Design, develop, and implement PLC-based automation solutions to streamline manufacturing processes and enhance productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand automation requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Perform PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability of automation systems.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of automation solutions to verify functionality and performance against defined specifications.
  • Provide technical support and training to operations teams for effective utilisation of automation systems.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in automation to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Most of our PLCs are Allen Bradley, therefore, your expertise with these is highly desirable
The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation engineering within the FMCG industry, with a focus on PLC programming and implementation.
  • Proficiency in programming PLCs using languages such as ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagram.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial automation protocols and standards (e.g., Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
  • Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and integration with PLCs for data visualisation and monitoring.
  • Proven ability to analyse complex automation issues, troubleshoot system failures, and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and deliver results within established timelines.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all aspects of automation engineering.
