About the CompanyA rare opportunity now exists for a Graduate Accountant to join the Metarock Group in our Mackay office, where you will provide dedicated accounting support to our underground coal contracting business Mastermyne. Driven to deliver customer excellence and regarded as a leader within the underground coal sector, Mastermyne operates across the East Coast of Australia and boasts an 800 plus workforce working on projects in Queensland and New South Wales.About the OpportunityThis position will report directly to our Finance Manager and have support from the wider finance team. Initially you will be responsible for end of month/year processing and journals, balance sheet reconciliations, BAS reporting and accounts payable support, whilst providing general support to the finance team. As a graduate you will gain exposure to all functions of accounting throughout your career including:

Balance Sheet integrity and reconciliations
BAS and other tax returns (income tax, FBT, payroll tax)
Statutory financial reporting and analysis
Management reporting and analysis on projects
Banking and accounts receivable
Accounts payable
Payroll
Site administration
General finance project work

About YouTo be considered for this role you will possess strong communication and analytical skills coupled with a desire to learn and grow within our business. Self-motivated and a problem solver, you will be able to work to deadlines and enjoy taking ownership of your work.
