As a Supply Planner in the automotive coatings division, your role will focus on ensuring the availability of product in the right location at the right time to meet customer demand. The supply planning role is not only responsible for uninterrupted supply, also for optimising inventory levels and controlling operational costs. You will collaborate with various teams across the business including internal and external suppliers to achieve successful outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Demand & Supply:
- Monitor inventory holdings and analyse monthly demand forecasts to identify risks and opportunities
- Support product life cycle management for new and phased-out products
- Develop a monthly supply plan for local and imported finished goods based on the latest demand to meet agreed sales target service levels
- Actively manage purchase orders and incoming shipments with international and local vendors
- Manage incoming container priorities and consult with 3PL warehouse operations
- Review weekly MRP outputs and plan national distribution volumes
- Conduct root cause analysis for backorders
- Use planning and reporting tools effectively to calculate future requirements
- Maintain SAP material master and data integrity
- Optimize inventory levels across the ANZ network
- Minimize aged, expiring, and blocked stock
- Coordinate liquidation, rework, or disposal plans internally
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to achieve business targets
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams
- Support and implement supply chain strategies and policies
- Share best practices with the team
- Contribute to regional and global supply chain projects
- Experience in supply chain planning, preferably in a distribution environment
- Customer focused
- SAP knowledge is highly desirable
- Ability to interpret data and make reliable decisions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- APICS CPIM (BSCM) or CSCP certification highly desirable
