- Supporting financial reporting to stakeholders including internal business unit management and external audit relationships through strong balance sheet management, financial control and governance activities across the businesses.
- Review and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, including documentation of the accounting judgements applied to the treatment of various business transactions and resulting accounting impacts.
- Contribute technical accounting advice and ensure the correct financial processing that supports day to day financial management for the respective businesses is undertaken in the general ledger.
- Recommending improvements to financial control and reporting frameworks and processes to support the efficient and effective preparation of financial statements for the group and its subsidiaries.
- Intercompany transaction management and contribute to capital management and treasury and banking operations.
- Transaction management for acquisitions, changing consolidation treatment, shareholder restructuring
- Relevant accounting qualification from membership of professional Accounting bodies (CA ANZ, CPA)
- At least 6 years of financial reporting and Accounting experience.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge including the application of IFRS.
- Knowledge of financial reporting and operational processes and accounting systems/applications.
- M&A experience beneficial.
- Experience with general ledger applications including Xero or similar.
- Commitment and proven ability to provide a high level of customer service
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with business managers
