- Assist in the daily running of all the kitchen requirements
- Meet and where possible exceed guest expectations
- Ensure food standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques meet Food Safety guidelines and are maintained at that level
- Work with the kitchen team and take corrective action where appropriate and within company guidelines if standards are not met
- Ensure the highest possible standard of hygiene is practiced and maintained by all staff members to meet Health & Safety regulations and relative legislation
- Cultivate a positive work environment where learning and personal development are benchmarks by which quality improvement is driven
- Minimum 3-5 years for leadership positions
- Minimum 2-4 years other positions
- Advanced culinary knowledge and extensive cooking experience
- Demonstrate excellent and respectful communication skills
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
- Able to cater for dietaries without compromising on taste
- Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
- Must hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
