The OpportunityA market leading FMCG brand, headquartered in Australia, is seeking a Counsel to join their legal and compliance team to work across a range of matters for all business functions and to support the executive team with all strategic requirements. This will be a five month full time fixed term contract role, with possibility to extend for a further six months on a part time basis.About YouYou will be a mid-senior level Lawyer who is looking for the opportunity to work in a dynamic, commercial setting in a close-knit legal team of a well-established Australian business.Key Responsibilities

Providing legal advice on the development of new products, supplier transactions and contract negotiations
Reviewing marketing materials and other communication
Instructing and managing external counsel
Managing legal compliance and training frameworks
Work closely with the business to implement changes brought about by regulatory requirements

Ideal Candidate

Admitted in Australia or New Zealand
Mid-senior level lawyer with corporate commercial experience working for a leading law firm or inhouse business
Experience in intellectual property, IT, and contract review would be advantageous
Solid drafting and negotiating skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong commercial awareness and a willingness to learn
