- Manage a territory of existing accounts, including the diligent servicing of major accounts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with major customers to minimize account loss and increase revenue.
- Proactively target and win new customer accounts in line with the business sales strategy.
- Maximize the profitability of existing customers through the introduction of new products, rate increases and proactive account management.
- Maintain a focus on new customer and pipeline initiatives.
- Proactively source business that reduces relocation costs through the movement of equipment under load.
- Manage costs associated with sales and marketing in line with the budget.
- Manage sales and financial reporting in line with the sales territory.
- Develop an autonomous and independent role with the intent to be active/on the road in the marketplace four to five days a week.
- Proven experience in account management and sales, preferably in the logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of customer relationship management systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to identify potential account opportunities.
- Strong sales skills with an ability to close deals.
- Enjoys direct customer contact.
- Hold a current driver's license.
- Permanent full-time position.
