- A thorough understanding of the Bank's purpose and values, as a basis for day-to-day employee engagement and decision-making
- Analyse and report on process improvement and skills gaps across lending
- Ensure lending procedures, policies and service standards are applied consistently throughout the lending function including effecting knowledge transfer
- Assist the Lending Management Team in the development and implementation of Bank Australia distribution strategy with particular emphasis on process improvement
- Effectively lead a team of lenders, ensuring consultants maintain appropriate skills through effective mentoring and coaching to achieve the goals of the lending team
- Lead the Lending team to ensure they meet customer needs and achieve loan turnaround times and accuracy
- Keep the lending team fully informed on matters which affect the delivery of lending services
- Co-ordinate and implement employee training for the lending team ensuring consultants skills and knowledge are kept up to date
- Complete employee appraisals in accordance with Bank Australia procedures and make recommendations to management regarding annual performance reviews
- Provide timely, accurate and appropriate performance reporting to the Lending Manager; and
- Perform other duties consistent with the classification of the position, as directed by Bank Australia management.
- Effective ability and demonstrated experience in leading and motivating teams to achieve and exceed targets
- Proven ability and knowledge of lending functions
- Proven ability in implementing policies, procedures and standards of operation
- Extensive knowledge of the types of products and services offered within the financial services industry
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment - both leading and participating
- Ability to adapt and demonstrate leadership in times of organisational change
- Excellent and demonstrated communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Effective decision making skills
