Day ShiftAre you ready to take on a diverse and hands-on role that contributes to the overall success of our operations, we'd love to hear from you!Weir Minerals is currently looking to bring on a General Hand for our Machine Shop. As apart of this role the successful candidate will be responsible for safe operations of our mobile plant. Supporting the leadership team and machine operators through goods movement as well as picking castings from foundry.Key Responsibilities:
- Operate mobile load shifting equipment (Forklift, Pallet jack)
- Plan work activities
- Pick and process orders
- Interact with computing technology
- Administer inventory procedures
- Use hand tools
- Work safely with industrial chemicals and materials
- Apply rust prevention to finished parts
- Forklift driver’s license
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices.
