- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining objectives, timelines and resource requirements.
- Formulate and implement strategies to optimise carbon sequestration.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including landowners, environmental agencies and community members.
- Foster positive relationships to ensure successful project implementation and alignment with local and global sustainability goals.
- Conduct thorough site assessments to identify suitable locations for vegetation plantings, including a base knowledge of soil types and native species.
- Manage land preparation, planting and ongoing maintenance activities.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial targets.
- Coordinate with finance and procurement teams to secure necessary resources and materials.
- Establish robust monitoring systems to track project performance and key performance indicators.
- Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting project achievements and addressing challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field(s)
- Proven experience in project management
- Knowledge and experience in effective techniques for revegetation
- Experience in native plant and weed identification
- Mapping & GIS experience
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams
- Experience working in a cross-cultural environment with the cultural context when kiworking with Aboriginal or other Indigenous peoples.
- Demonstrated competence in written and oral communication skills, highly organised with attention to detail and the ability to use Microsoft Office programs in the preparation of reports.
