Technical Lead
My financial services client in Sydney have an opening for a Technical Lead to join their tight-knit team, and be at the forefront of two big greenfield projects. This role would suit someone who likes a flexible working environment, has fantastic communication skills, can collaborate with other departments, and some sort of people management experience.As the Tech Lead, you'll report directly to the Managing Director, playing a pivotal role in driving technical excellence and innovation within the team. Here's a snapshot of what you'll be responsible for:Experience and Leadership:
- Bring over a decade of hands-on experience in both back and front-end development, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Demonstrate a proven track record in mentoring developers, fostering a collaborative environment, and encouraging creative ideas and improvements.
- Participate actively in concept sessions and contribute meaningfully to the product and development lifecycle.
- Take full ownership of code from inception to production, ensuring adherence to best practices and software guidelines.
- Write clean, maintainable code suitable for continuous integration and deployment, including crafting comprehensive test cases.Infrastructure Expertise:
- Possess a strong understanding of DevOps principles, particularly AWS CodePipeline and CodeBuild.
- Proficiently handle monitoring, logging, and performance tuning in AWS environments using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and VPC.
- Familiarity with monitoring and security tools, alongside experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).Back-End Technical Proficiency:
- Showcase a minimum of 5 years of recent .NET commercial experience, with expertise in ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and ASP.NET Core.
- Hands-on experience with Entity Framework/ORM, LINQ, and Microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, GIT/Bitbucket, AWS, and Jira.
- Solid expertise in building Web APIs, RESTful web services, and test automation/TDD.Front-End Skills (Nice to Have):
- Ideally possess over 2 years of experience with Angular 12+, TypeScript, and familiarity with web technologies like HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6).Requirements:
- Proficiency in Agile development practices, encompassing code versioning, packaging, test-driven development, continuous integration, test automation, code analysis, and quality metrics.
- An understanding of security risks and the ability to write secure code.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering long-term solutions.
- A team player with exceptional attention to detail, organisational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously under high-level direction, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A client-focused approach, ensuring development efforts align with end-users perspectives and needs.
- A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with current best practices.Benefits:
