UGL is an employer with a difference, jump on board and experience our incredible journeyAbout the roleWe are seeking HSE Advisor to commence work on a Major Project, based in Melbourne. As the HSE Advisor, your role will be responsible to monitor and support the safe production of construction deliverables under direction from HSE Manager. The position will be a permanent full-time role commencing in May 2024 and continuing until the completion of West Gate Tunnel Project:About the role
  • Comply and have input into safe working procedures
  • Assist with safety sections for reports, tenders and proposals.
  • Monitor and interpret relevant HSE legislation, policies and regulations in order to provide direction and advice to projects which meet statutory and corporate objectives and responsibilities
  • Prepare and review project HSE documentation to ensure a coordinated approach and legislative and procedural requirements are met
  • Investigate worksite incidents and occurrences in accordance with the UGL Engineering HSSE requirements and reporting matrix to manage corrective actions ensuring that identified incidents are addressed efficiently and effectively to ensure that Company and Legislative reporting protocols are maintained
  • Ensure that all necessary steps are taken to meet the Company’s Environmental license conditions (where applicable) and to minimize Environmental risks.

  • Tertiary Qualification (Diploma or greater) in a Workplace Safety and Health related discipline preferred
  • Cert IV Training and Assessment
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in Safety, Health and Environmental role in Construction/Infrastructure industry
  • Construction White Card
  • Incident Investigation Trained (ICAM preferable)
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
