- Preparation & posting of accounting and payments vouchers, monthly bank reconciliation statements, customer billing, processing suppliers’ bills of payment, customer receivables & payables.
- Payroll processing and preparation, monitoring of inventory, analyzing and investigating annual and monthly financial accounts, preparing reports, budgets, financial statements, liaising with managerial staff, colleagues and clients , controlling income and expenditure, projects costing.
- Ensure all records maintained by the accounting department are as per international and external accounting standards and auditor requirements.
- Managing the budgets around all costing issues and providing variance analysis.
- Developing and maintaining accurate costing systems in relation to labor, production methods and material supply.
- Recommending changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit.
- Analyzing the P&L and balance sheet accounts to understand the main cost drivers of the business.
- Supporting other company accountants with invoicing and capital expenditure.
- Assisting with annual audit preparations.
- Work with the internal & external auditors to provide the relevant documents ensuring that all queries are accurately advised.
- Perform month end closing activities such as account reconciliation, revenue recognition, expenses recording, etc.
- Performing any other reasonable duties as directed by line management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience (7+ years) in accounting or finance roles, with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Proficiency in English is essential.
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics)
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
