: Reporting to the Team Leader IT Client Support, and supervised by the Senior ‎Client Support Engineer, as assigned, is responsible for ensuring ‎that a state-of-the ali computing workplace is available to client IT users. This Position supports a single and ‎accountable entity which is responsible for satisfactory resolution of ‎all end-user information technology requests, including software, ‎hardware, network, and systems support requests.‎On behalf of the IT Division, ensures the availability and reliability ‎of IT systems & services by providing technical support for ‎installation and maintenance of computer hardware and software ‎that is comprised of desktop and notebook computers, printers, ‎and other peripherals.‎This position is responsible for protecting Company IT assets ‎and corporate information against threats to their security by ‎implementing applicable provisions for Asset tracking and IT security ‎controls.‎
o Installs and tests Hardware and Software products:‎a. Installs and configures computer hardware and ‎peripherals in all Abu Dhabi and site locations in ‎accordance with defined procedures.‎
b. Prepares PCs with the required hardware and software ‎configuration before dispatching to users.‎c. Implements all hardware and software updates after ‎evaluating them for their impact on resources, security, ‎and performance.‎d. Installs/updates Client software on all user PCs in ‎accordance with defines procedures.‎
Provides the adequate Support to the IT Resources Users:‎a. Ensures that the end user computing facility is utilized for ‎the maximum business benefit by regularly assisting ‎the users in resolving PC related software problems, ‎providing technical support on Microsoft desktop ‎applications and Company business applications.‎b. Provides first level support/help on Business Applications such ‎as SAP ERP
system, engineering applications, etc.‎
Contributes toward and promotes the protection of the client IT assets and corporate information against ‎threats to their security by implementing the Information ‎Security Policy and all other related rules, regulations ‎and guidelines.‎c. Assists in evaluating vendor proposals and preparing ‎technical recommendation on PCs and peripherals (e.g. ‎printers, plotters, scanners, etc.), Network Cabling and ‎other hardware requirements.‎d. Conducts surveys/studies at the request of IT ‎management on the utilization of hardware, new products, ‎etc. and submits reports with recommendations.‎e. Provides inputs for the IT Division Plan & Budget preparation.‎f.‎ Implements Company Information Security Policy in ‎the job functions, where applicable.‎ Reports any ‎security breaches observed. Promotes security ‎awareness among the users.‎

g. Ensures the client HS&E Policy provisions are ‎observed in the job functions.‎h. Builds and maintains sufficient knowledge of Company products, services and company ‎philosophy as the role demands.‎i. Any other related job assigned.‎
