- Conduct piping stress analysis using industry-standard software such as Caesar II to assess the structural integrity of piping systems under various operating conditions including pressure, temperature, and dynamic loads.
- Perform pipe support design and selection to mitigate stress concentrations and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (ASME B31.3, API 610, etc.).
- Review piping design specifications, isometric drawings, and stress critical lines to identify potential issues and propose design modifications or enhancements.
- Collaborate with piping designers, process engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize piping layouts and support arrangements for efficient installation and maintenance.
- Participate in project meetings, technical reviews, and HAZOP studies to provide expert advice on piping stress-related matters and contribute to risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare technical reports, calculations, and documentation to support project deliverables and regulatory compliance.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and support continuous professional development initiatives within the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in piping stress analysis for upstream oil and gas projects.
- Proficiency in using piping stress analysis software such as Caesar II or similar tools.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and codes including ASME B31.3, API 610, ASCE 7, etc.
- Professional engineering license (PE) or eligibility for licensure is desirable.
- Prior experience in offshore or subsea projects is a plus.
