Want to take your Engineering expertise to the next level to work on tough projects that will make a huge impact on the community?What You'll Be Doing:Preparation of traffic study reports and impact analysis reports for various road and development projectsConducting Traffic Studies for major roads infrastructure projects involving transportation demand modeling, traffic operations analysis, and public transit planning based on MOTC-LTPD guidelines and procedures for transport studiesUpdate Transport Models and development of conceptual road designs, performs conventional and complex engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within a disciplineCarrying out demand forecasting and transport model analysis required to assist with the traffic impact studiesWork closely with related teams and develop traffic congestion management plans by providing data and technical support as neededPerforming microsimulation modelling analysis for road intersections corridors, bus facilities and development sitesPreparation and coordination for data collection tasks required for traffic studies including traffic counts surveysProvides input and technical guidance to traffic engineers and CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers working on the same projectPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriateWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:Degree in civil/transportation engineering from a recognized institutionMinimum 8 years’ experience in traffic operations and analysis of various traffic projects preferably in Gulf region.Potential to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are requiredMust possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on projectA strong understanding of transport modelling, demand forecast and multi-modal methodologiesMust have in-depth experience with Traffic Impact Studies, Traffic Operational AnalysisMust have thorough working knowledge with traffic analysis tools such as SYNCHRO, VISUM, VISSIM, HCS and other traffic engineering – modeling softwareMust have experience in parking management, parking demand and supply, parking design within buildings, traffic circulations, determining the number of accesses/egressesFamiliar with UAE and local standards such as Roads & Transport Authority of Dubai guidelines and procedures for transport studiesExcellent report writing skills, preparation of presentationsMust have excellent written and oral communications skills in EnglishMinimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/NoneParsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
