Production Manager

• Develop and implement production plans to meet project timelines and client requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to allocate resources effectively.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust as necessary to optimize efficiency and minimize delays.
• Resource Management:

• Manage a team of production staff, including supervisors, technicians, and laborers.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring that each team member understands their role in the production process.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback for continuous improvement.
• Quality Assurance:

• Establish and maintain quality control standards for all production activities.
• Conduct inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Implement corrective actions as needed to address quality issues and prevent reoccurrence.
• Health and Safety:

• Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to educate staff on best practices and risk mitigation strategies.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, and implement preventive measures to minimize workplace hazards.
• Supplier and Vendor Management:

• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to procure materials and equipment required for production.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and cost-effective solutions.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
• Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction initiatives.
• Implement Lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to streamline workflows and improve productivity.
• Foster a culture of innovation and encourage employee involvement in problem-solving and idea generation.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in production management within the marine industry, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of marine construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001), health and safety regulations, and industry best practices.
