- Set up a data base of clients as well as potential clients
- Identify new clients and determine their needs
- Search for new clients through direct contact, word-of-mouth as well as collaboration with the marketing department
- Participate in networking activities to research and connect with prospective clients
- Maintain meaningful relationships with existing clients to ensure they are retained
- Equip staff with the technical and social skills needed to increase sales
- Report on the performance of business growth and direction
- Possess a Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Sales and Marketing or any related
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in business development
- Must be able to identify new leads, assess their potential and generate high-quality business opportunities
- Good communication skills with the ability to negotiate and close sales deals
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to build relationships with key stakeholders
